I currently teach Philosophy at the University of Tilburg, and Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Deventer / Enschede).
My philosophical dissertation (2001) is on the Phenomenology of Religion in Emmanuel Levinas and Jean-Luc Marion. I have published several essays on contemporary French phenomenology, a book on Jean-Paul Sartre and terrorism, and several articles on Michel Henry.
In the 1980s I studied music on the Rotterdam Conservatory (Double Bass & Jazz), which explains why some of my articles are on the phenomenology of music. I play the accordion as well.
In recent years I have been engrossed in the philosophical interpretations and implications of Business Ethics, Consumerism and Tourism.
