I am assistant professor philosophy at Tilburg University, and professor ('Lector') Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility at Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Deventer / Enschede).
In Philosophy, my dissertation (2001) is on the Phenomenology of Religion, especially in Emmanuel Levinas and Jean-Luc Marion. I publish on contemporary French phenomenology. I wrote a book on Jean-Paul Sartre and terrorism and several articles on the thought of Michel Henry.
Before my carreer as philosopher, I studied music on the Conservatory of Rotterdam (Double Bass, Jazz). Some of my articles are on the phenomenology of music. I play also accordion.
The last few years I am working on Business Ethics and on a philosophical interpretation of consumerism and tourism.
